Remind Yourself Why You Fell In Love With Hip Hop :: Fabian “Flaco” Bell :: Hom3Grown

16 September 2013

★ Adrian Curiel

Fabian “Flaco” Bell is a local indie artist whose new tape, Hom3Grown is the soundtrack of a generation on the rise.  His verse imparts skillfully constructed patterns and invokes images that spark connection and emotion through masterful word play. It’s important to note that a serious car accident derailed the production Hom3Grown.  It’s release is a testament to the inherent persistence of an artist on a mission.  The resulting recording is personal, raw and rooted in a city that is being propelled forward by a generation striving for better. This tape is much more than the tracks that comprise it or the production that frames it. It’s a profound and soulful contribution to Baltimore’s renaissance.
