With a piercing gaze, from behind an organized white acrylic desk, Stephanie Bradshaw speaks to me about what she attributes the success of her growing brand to: experience, hard work and confidence.

If success is defined as using your gifts to the best of your ability while being happy, Stephanie Bradshaw the “Girl About Town”, and founder and owner of Stephanie Bradshaw Inc., says that she is in fact successful.

Surely anyone who comes in contact with this petite: stylist / interior decorator / event decorator / can’t help to realize the air of confidence she comfortably strolls in.  Focused and fierce, Bradshaw unapologetically attributes her success, in part, to her tenacious spirit. Upon graduating from college with a degree in marketing and PR, Bradshaw taught English as a second language abroad in Korea. Upon returning to the States, she held several positions in event planning, sales, catering, and development. Bradshaw believes that each job she held brought her to where she is today.

Seeking to gain clarity about Bradshaw’s struggle, much of what she shared she attributed to handwork.  Long nights, hard work, and overcoming setbacks is she shared as defining experiences that shaped who she is today.

Bradshaw’s approach towards branding appears to be thoughtful.  From her website, to her studio and even her pup, all things seem to collectively come from the same source of inspiration.  A soft pallet:  shades of pinks and nudes, accents of gold, and the contrast of an occasional blue or green.  It’s apparent that she strives to convey a chic and soft appearance.

When asked what her number one gift was as it relates to building her business, she replied, “Being a visionary, having the ability to see a concept or environment, creating a plan and executing it.”

Bradshaw’s vision for her business is to grow her “creative group” and reach a contingent beyond Charm City.  Based upon the enormous stack of resumes I witnessed her assistant earnestly sort through, growth is not going to be a problem.

When asked, evolving is how she described her brand as well as Baltimore’s style.  Inspiring and drive is how her team describes the interaction with their boss.

Lastly, concentrated is how I would describe my impression of Bradshaw.  There really doesn’t appear to be any gray area with the style maven.  A firm sense of decisiveness keeps the wheels on her business moving.
