Rootz.

The Rastafarians believe that the spirit of god lives within each human. They refer to the spirit within as “I” and to themselves as “I” or “I and I.” The word “we” also becomes “I and I” and is used to illustrate the equality amongst all people. The idea is that, if god is in all of us, than no one is better than another.

Comprised of members of Thievery Corporation and Fort Knox Five, among other notable bands, See-I is a band that makes life affirming music in such a fashion as to cause night clubs to spontaneously erupt with good vibes. Without question, each musician in this band will be hailed as a historically significant figure in music.

You’ve heard the phrase that there are no atheists in fox holes. I’d say the same is true for the dance floor at a See-I show. If the music doesn’t move you than someone had better check your pulse. If you’ve yet to have the pleasure of being at a show you’ll get your chance next week when See-I returns to play the Station North Fall Music Festival.

Did I mention that it’s going to be a free show?

Meanwhile, inside the club . . .

We’re not sure who the girl in the middle is, but she’s the winner of this week’s prestigious and highly coveted, “All The Neon Colored Shots and Over Anxious Guys Doused In Cologne Couldn’t Keep You From Having A Good Time Even If You Did Have
To Cover Your Eyes With Your Hair To Keep From Accidentally Making Eye Contact With Would Be Suitors Too Cool To Take Their Sunglasses Off At Night” You, Miss, are a real trooper.

DJ Who.

In the cockpit in the club room, DJ Who was tasked with the awesome responsibility of satiating a voracious group of club goers who wouldn’t go home until they were thoroughly entertained. Once again, Who delivered the goods. Who’s production company CWPR was responsible for the kick ass party at Mosaic featuring See-I.
