Happy Holidays: Here are Some Cookies

24 December 2014

★ Kelly Louise

The meaning of Christmas, while having a definition, can mean various things from person to person. To me it is a time for family, a time when you can tolerate even your least favorite sibling (and if you have five siblings like me you know this is a pretty serious deal). For my family, and many others, Christmas comes after good years and bad. But regardless of the year we’ve had, we’ve always managed to find time and funds to make cookies. From my Nanny’s table adorned with ornate pizzelles on Christmas Eve to my Aunt Michele’s bangarang candy cane cookies during our holiday visits, one thing my family has perfected is the art of Christmas cookies.

This year marks yet another successful year on the Cookiefest calendar, from NC, PA, NJ and MD, I bring you cookies to ogle at.

Happy Holidays, to you and yours.

If your finely sculpted baking muscles aren't destroying innocent spatulas, you're not doing it right.
