Dr. Nodnol Introduces…

12 January 2012

★ drnodnol & Philip Laubner

I was thrilled when Brooke and Justin asked me to write a series of short introductions to a variety of artists and activities that will be appearing at the upcoming Winter Festival of Wonders, for which What Weekly and I are both Official Sponsors.

I figured I would start this journey by introducing you to the gentleman I know best. Of all those I have encountered on my journey thus far, this man is the one whom I find to share my closet sense of humor, worldview, interests, tastes, and passions. As so, with that being said, I would take a moment to introduce you to myself, Dr. Finius J. Nodnol III, Esq.

You may know me as the inventor, distributor, spokesperson and CEO behind Dr. Nodnol’s Imagination Rejuvenation Tonic.

I was born, and spent my early years, in a small town on the west side of the Northern region. When I was 7 my father got a job doing the books for a traveling circus, and the whole family hopped along for the ride. For nearly ten years, we traveled through the lands in a caravan of clowns, jugglers, acrobats and animals, and I began experiencing the vast and limitless nature of both the internal and external worlds.

When the Circus eventually shut down, we settled in the east, and I began to focus more on my studies. My formal education was in psychology, medicine and law, which provided the basis for my understanding of logic and the physical world as well as dreams and the inner world. Later on, I became an avid student of the fringe arts and sciences, including Alchemy, Surrealism, Metaphysics, Pataphysics and all forms of Magic, Magick, and Majik.

Despite the understanding of the natural and magical world I had developed through years of study, in the end it was numerous chance encounters with a variety of poets, philosophers, mystics, madmen and artists, which eventually provided me my greatest education.

From these encounters, I began to see that what I had believed was a heightened state of mind attributed only to practitioners of the Great Mystery was, in fact, a universal spark of genius possessed by all members of the human race.

Simply put, I came to believe that inside each and every one of us is the ability dream of new worlds and possibilities and by working outside of ourselves, through action in the physical world, we are able to manifest those dreams into reality. In this way, we all possess the tools to transform the universe, through dream and action.

For the last many years, my personal dream has been to find a cure for what I call “the common condition.”  You see, sameness, boredom, repetition, and mere exhaustion can often lead to the most regrettable symptoms, and create an artificial, internal barrier between us and The Dream.

This realization eventually led me to spend the last five years of my life inside of a laboratory, experimenting with, concocting and perfecting my tonic, which is guaranteed to destroy the barriers to the creative mind, and re-awaken The Dreaming that lies within.

Often imitated, never duplicated, finely fabricated, Dr. Nodnol’s Imagination Rejuvenation Tonic is guaranteed to free your brain to explore new territories within the far reaches of your imagination and return you to your lost childhood prerogatives.

Though only a handful of people have personally tasted and tested the tonic so far, I have personally ingested at least 9 sips of tonic a day for over three years now, and I can swear to you that I feel better than ever.

For the first time ever, at The Winter Festival of Wonders, I will be offering my product for sale to the public. Do not miss this chance to possess some of my miracle elixir. I will have many lifetime supplies with me, but only a limited number of bottles available. Prepare yourself to behold, sample, and own, what could possibly be the most important breakthrough in modern life that this world has seen in over 150 years! That is, if I dare to say so myself.

Please join me next week as I introduce you to Belly Dancer Bagoas!

In the meantime, I would encourage you to take a further look into the Winter Festival of Wonders, which is shaping up to be an amazing three day celebration of Wonder, Magic & Play taking place at Area 405 in Baltimore from February 10 – 12. You can find more info on the festival website at www.WFOW.info.

Until next time,
Dr. Finius J. Nodnol III, Esq.
