WHAT IT IS:
School 33 Art Center, a program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts, hosts exhibitions, classes for adults and children, studio space for artists, and special events and workshops. The architecturally engaging brick and brownstone building built in 1890 now features a new eco-friendly outdoor garden fed by a rainwater collection system and renovated gallery spaces.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
We love School 33’s wide array of exhibitions hosted in their three gallery spaces, recurring open studio events, and engaging workshops and classes. Located in the bustleing center of federal hill School 33 was one of the original alternative spaces for contemporary art in Baltimore and remains a cornerstone gallery providing opportunities and resources for artists.
