Jack White’s Awesome New Instrumental :: High Ball Stepper

03 April 2014

★ Kelly Louise

Some might suggest Jack White has rescinded his relevancy since the disbanding of The White Stripes, (and while I might want to personally make sure those people know they’re idiots, I digress). Simply watch and listen to his latest, “High Ball Stepper,” an awesome instrumental, off of his new album Lazaretto, and decide for yourself. The “High Ball Stepper” video is comprised of a pretty cool visualizer experiment: paint reverberating inside a stack of amps, with a composition akin to the raw, high-energy work with The White Stripes, while keeping true to White’s solo work on Blunderbuss with instrumental vocals and his signature fuzz guitar.

Lazaretto is set for release early this June.

Get stoked.
