WHAT WEEKLY

Memo To Self

15 June 2011

★ David Warfield

Do breasts equal money? Keep focused on the goal. Right now the priority is to finish the script. Last summer we made a faux trailer, not a Story. Now ROWS is a story. Eighteen page treatment. Writing ten pages a day till it’s done.  (Except for casting days, and family time. What time?)  Everybody needs the script. Casting people. Investors. Actors. Lawyers. Special FX. SAG. Pressure.  Need to see more actors. It’s like getting married. I hope they understand. Stop worrying that people hate me. Stop checking Google Analytics.  People are going to the site (www.rowsmovie.com) for information, not to buy T-shirts. Gotta design some T-shirts. And dozer caps. Need a logo.  Design something really good. Figure out knife through chest. Remember: the most terrifying scene in cinema history required no special effects.

Construct permanent dolly track in cornfield. Figure out radius for three-sixty degree pan. The lawyers lost the letter I sent them. They changed their address but they won’t tell me the new one. Read Kafka. My friend wants me to watch The Troll Hunter. Corn was planted late this year. Only three inches high now. Need to go out and remove sprouts to create shooting channels. Crew/ equipment alleys.  My garden is full of weeds.  Plant moonflower vine before Saturday. Need a body double, immune to pain. Go canoeing. Play tennis. We need rain. Website is buggy. Call Brooke and Justin.  Big power outage at UMBC. Pick up Bryna at airport MARC. What kind of person is Rose? Naïve but clever.  Afraid but determined. Sex, yes, but not cheesy. Sympathetic but not goody-goody. Not too tall or short. Trooper. Why is some dope’s sexting scandal the biggest news story on the planet? Stop looking at news. Re-edit promo teaser.  Shoot new promo. Put more hard drives in budget. Finish script.  Write What Weekly column.
