Making a good first impression is critical in a job interview, and jeans won’t make the impression needed to compete in today’s job market.

For unemployed men in Baltimore landing an interview is an exciting opportunity, but putting together a professional look is difficult.

So,the Baltimore Fashion Alliance partnered with Living Classrooms Foundation’s Mentoring Academy and created Sharp Dressed Man to provide recycled suits and other items to men looking for employment or beginning new jobs.

After receiving a suit, shoes, and hygiene products for his new job, one Sharp Dressed Man said, “I feel like a new man! This will save my life economically, give me a new start to life.”

Sharp Dressed Man has teamed up with GiveCorps to make sure that the recycled suits can be a perfect fit – pant legs dragging on the floor doesn’t exactly give a professional impression.

With your help, Sharped Dressed Man will alter, hem and fit suits for 40 men so they can start a rewarding career.

For those struggling for a source of income, a suit and a tie can clear a major obstacle in their path to success. Having the right look instills confidence and allows these men to make a lasting impression and improve their quality of life.  You can be the difference for a Sharp Dressed Man.
