Margaret’s mom struggles with diabetes, dictating a larger need for nutritious, well-planned meals.

Margaret is in college, works part-time, and cares for her elderly mother who suffers from dementia.  Margaret wants to be there for her mom as much as possible, but it’s hard to be home with her to cook fresh meals every night.

That’s where Feeding the People (FTP) steps in. FTP empowers low-income diabetics with home-delivered meals, education, and ongoing support.

Low-income diabetics, like Margaret’s mom, don’t always have access to fresh unprocessed food, the means to make frequent trips to the store, or proper nutritional guidance and education.  Without this access, they face life-threatening complications including kidney disease, amputation, blindness, heart disease, and stroke.

Feeding the People has teamed up with GiveCorps to ensure that diabetics get the proper nutrition and education to stay healthy.

Your gift to FTP will provide a critical lifeline for low-income people with diabetes who cannot afford nutritious food or who cannot get to the grocery store. A gift of $35 will provide a full week of lunches and dinners for a low-income diabetic.

And it will help their families rest easy.  Thanks to FTP, Margaret knows she doesn’t have to rush home early every night to prepare a meal for her mother, allowing her the freedom to keep going. You can make it happen!
