The RoboDoves Drive Like Girls!

04 January 2013

★ GiveCorps

In a sport dominated by boys from the suburbs, the RoboDoves are on a mission to show the nation how to “drive like a girl”.

The RoboDoves, an all-girls robotics team at Western High School, have been wildly successful in their first four years , competing in the 2010, 2011, and 2012 VEX robotics international competitions and being featured in a documentary about FIRST Robotics.

But, as a small, all-girls team at a Baltimore City public school, the RoboDoves encounter funding challenges that not all of their competitors have to face.

So, they’ve partnered with GiveCorps to level the playing field.

Visit the  project page and help the RoboDoves continue to compete in competitions around the nation!
