1. GrundelHammer – Baltimore Rock Opera Society at 2640 Space

Last Weekend in Baltimore!

A rare two-weekend-in-a-row endorsement from What Weekly – come see our friends at the BROS before they go on tour.

2. Everything Will be OK – Standup Comedy at the Crown

Balt Alt Com

Local funny-man Chris Hudson hosts his monthly comedy showcase at The Crown, which we are told will soon feature a certain What Weekly editor. This lineup features some of our favorites, including two comedians you might recognize from a What Weekly Presents show, Umar Khan and Mickey Freeland.

3. Rock’N’Soul: Music Showcase at the Meyerhoff

Up The Elegance

Heid’n’Seek Entertainment brings another high-class event, this time at the beautiful Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Mt. Vernon.  Featuring the talented chefs of Soul Expressions in addition to an overflowing lineup of local musical talent.

4. Resonate: Pitching with Power

Learn to Pitch

Local branding expert (“storytelling” as he likes to call it) Peter Davis will be hosting a valuable session to help ambitious people learn how to pitch ideas in a concise and memorable way – whether you’re a businessperson or an artist this is a valuable skill.  Peter writes our “5 Questions That Matter” column and is our go-to-guy for this sort of thing.

5. Ed Schrader’s Music Beat at The Crown

Baltimore’s Favorite Son Returns

DO NOT miss this show with our friend Ed Schrader!  Don’t let his success and world tour with Future Islands fool you – he is a local through and through and will be delivering up his special brand of delirious weirdness at The Crown in true Baltimore DIY fashion.

6. What Weekly presents The Hustle: Comedy show with WHAM CITY

The Laughs Don’t Stop

What Weekly brings you a world-class night of comedy FREE at the lovely The Creative Alliance, featuring the incredible, bizarre and hilarious Wham City Comedy, just before they go on a national tour.  They were recently featured on Adult Swim and we are sure they will be superstars soon so don’t miss this rare opportunity to see them for FREE.
