Amplify Baltimore boasts an impressive list of notable ambassadors that includes the likes of Elijah Cummings, Mike Galiazzo, Ph.D., Rebecca Hoffberger, Mary Washington, Tom Loveland, Marc Steiner and Pat Turner to name a few. So, what’s the mission that has so many of the city’s prominent citizens throwing their support behind it?

Amplify Baltimore, presented by Civic Frame, is series of interactive conversations that aims to find innovative solutions to some of the cities toughest problems. Behind the initiative is April Yvonne Garrett, founder of Civic Frame.

This passed weekend Civic Frame hosted a fundraiser and launch party for Amplify Baltimore in the penthouse at Silo Point, one of the most fascinating buildings in Baltimore.

The party was fabulous, the view was spectacular, but most importantly Amplify Baltimore‘s mission is inspirational.

One of the goals for Amplify Baltimore is to start a dialogue and get people into a room who may not have the chance to meet under the usual circumstances. The mission is to host conversations not lectures.

During the event, Diana Gross and Amy Genevieve Kozak captured the thoughts of those in attendance about the mission and their hopes for the project. Here they are interviewing Mike Galiazzo.
