Kickstarter Watch: Jordan Faye Contemporary

09 May 2012

★ David London

Our friend Jordan Faye, over at Jordan Faye Contemporary, is in the final moments of her Kickstarter Campaign to assist with expenses to showcase several of her artists at the San Francisco Art MRKT from May 17 – 20, where they will be presenting the work of Lori Larusso, David Page, Jenee Mateer, Scott Ponemone, T.R. Kaltreider, Janna Rice, Donald Edwards, Lat Naylor, & Edwin Remsberg.

This is an amazing opportunity for the artists of Jordan Faye Contemporary as it will continue to pursue the vision of placing them in major collections and museums throughout the world.

To help make this epic trip a reality, they are asking for your assistance. Contributions to the campaign come with many great rewards including limited edition prints, small drawings, and small to medium paintings. There’s even an opportunity to have a cocktail party in the gallery with several of their artists and attend a special Celebration Party after they return from the fair.

Jordan Faye Contemporary was founded in 2006 founded as a platform to give emerging artists a wider audience. Several years ago the gallery moved to its current location in Federal Hill. Since its inception, the gallery has showcased the work of over 200 artists. Currently, the gallery represents fifteen artists, who are now at various stages in their careers. The mission is to show work that is not only of contemporary interest, but will be of lasting historical significance.

Their vision is to bring their mid-Atlantic region artists to cities all over the world. So far the plan has taken them to Art Fairs in Washington D.C. and Miami, FL, with the trip to san Francisco scheduled for later this month. They were also recently accepted into several other fairs as far away as Basel, Switzerland.
