Philadelphia-based G. Love & Special Sauce is known for sloppy blues that fuses the sound of folk and classic R&B with elements of modern hip-hop.
The band’s most recent album, Fixin’ to Die, unites singer/songwriter Garrett Dutton – or G. Love – with The Avett Brothers to create a collection of rearranged traditionals, a classic cover and a handful of new originals that strip G. Love’s music to its Americana-roots core.
