Watch the O scale trains wind their way past Baltimore area landmarks and neighborhoods in the new “1950s” Holiday Train Garden. A Baltimore City Fire Department tradition since 1917, the completely rebuilt Christmas Garden features the Thomas Viaduct, Bromo Seltzer Tower, the Senator Theater, the Zoo and fire fighters fighting a building fire.
Walk through a reconstructed 1871 Fire House, and see 40 antique fire engines,dating back to 1806.

Pull an alarm box to see the call come in and sent out on the 1922 Telegraph Alarm System
Children can dress up in fire gear and climb on a 1938 fire engine
The Train Garden is open Saturdays in Dec, and Dec 27 – 29, 2012, 10 – 4 pm. Exclusive showing of the Train Garden and the Museum Gift Shop only at a reduced admission, Dec. 18th – 21st, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Andrew Keating was raised in New England, and now lives and teaches in Baltimore, Maryland. His first collection of short fiction, PARTICIPANTS, was recently published by Thumbnail Press.His work has appeared in Stymie Magazine, Ampersand Review,Medulla Review, Eunoia Review, North Central Review, and other publications. Andrew also founded the literary journal Cobalt Review in 2011.
Fitz Fitzgerald once beat Oprah in a footrace. Work has appeared or is forthcoming in Octopus, the Shattered Wig Review and espresso ink. Furniture Press published triangle shirtwaist fire in 2004. He lives in Baltimore.
