Station North turns 10!

04 October 2012

★ Theresa Keil & David London

Last Friday (September 28, 2012), hundreds gathered on the rooftop of the parking garage across the street from the Charles Theater, to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Station North Arts & Entertainment District. I have learned from years of throwing, attending and working at events, that ones mindset when they arrive direct affect the spirit of the evening. It was clear that everyone who hiked the four flights of stairs to the roof the garage, that celebration was in the air!

Aside from the usual Station North crowd that you will often catch at such gatherings, the evening featured an appearance by Governor Martin O’Malley, and John Waters, who both gave short talks along side Ben Stone, Elliott Rauh from Single Carrot Theatre and Doreen Bolger, who have all been quite active participants in the growth and success of the district.

Megan Dee, What Weekly’s favorite Cupcake maker provide cupcakes for all to enjoy alongside the free pizza from Joe Squared. Tunes from Landis Expandis rounded out the night of fun, drinks, and a good time.
